Welcome to Firm Foundation Ranch

Born and raised in Central Minnesota on my family's organic hobby farm, I have been blessed to work with a variety of animal species that have been entrusted in my care over the years!  I take this responsibility seriously and and am continuously researching how I can provide the best life for them and be the best steward of these incredible gifts.

Learning how to grow nutritious food for my family and my animals through regenerative farming opened up my eyes early on to the food and health crisis in America today.

I got my animal crazy from my Grandma, and knew my whole life that I would have a career working with them.  After high school, I dove into canine behavior and holistic pet health studies, and set out to learn everything I could to help the creatures I love.  I was studying canine behavior and on track to become an associate dog trainer, but chronic illness and allergies stopped me in my tracks, putting a hold on those plans.

Learning how to care for my own health through an integrative approach, I realized what an impact it made in my own life, how it must have the ability to do the same in our pets too.  I became a firm believer in supplements and food therapy through this experience.  During this time, I was working at a local feed store and saw the demand of pet parents wanting to have the best food for their beloved pets' particular needs, and the lack of resources out there for them to learn what that was.

Implementing that I was learning in my own pets, I watched my childhood livestock guardian dog live many years beyond her expected lifespan.  I knew there was something to this way of life.

I bought my corgi, Tucker, in October of 2020.  I have fed him a homemade diet his entire life, taking a completely holistic and toxic-free approach to his health.  Seeing him thrive with health in this lifestyle is amazing to see as I continue to learn through his care.

​

Once my own health was back on track, I went back to studying canine nutrition, completing my certification in Advanced Canine Nutrition, Canine Fitness Coaching, along with a diploma as a Canine Nutrition and Fitness Specialist, recognized through the IAABC and CCPDT.  In 2023, I also received my CPCN title as a Certified Professional Canine Nutritionist.

​I am currently working toward my HPHC title as I work through Dr. Ruth Robert's Certified Holistic Pet Health Coach program.

After dreaming of this business for many years, I finally started my LLC in 2025, knowing my calling is to help pet's thrive through a variety of therapy techniques.  I now have the privilege of sharing my insights with you and look forward to providing you with the tools needed to support your pets needs!
